First day of school

It's the 31/01/17, the first day of school. I finish breakfast, headed to school and stared at the class. As I nervously walked in the classroom, I put my bag on the hook. I saw my friend, Sa across the room. I slowly walked towards her. “What are we doing?”  I asked her. “We’re dumping our stationary in our tote tray” she answered. As I completed the task I asked her “What do I do after?” “Complete your designer profile” Sa replied. The designer profile had a map, some activities and some questions.

I finished halfway of the questions and the bell rang for school time. The teachers showed us an introduction of them. I realized that we had five teachers. They called the roll and asked us to finish our designer profile. 20 minutes later we went welcome the new students, the event is called “powhiri”. Powhiri took the rest of the first block of school. “FINALLY it’s morning tea time, it felt like forever.”

Second block: “what do think we're going to do now Sa?” “I asked. “I'm not sure” she responded. The teacher finally announced what we were going to do. We had a choice of designing our own classroom! We could choose what group we could be in to work together, I chose to be in the name and logo group for the class. Straight after we finished talking the bell rang, ding ding ding.

Last block: The teachers called the roll out. After they told us to work in our groups. 1 hour later…….. “I can't think of anything” Sa sighed. “Yeah” I agreed. “Ding ding ding”. “Oh the bell rang” I exclaimed.

And that's how the first day of school ended.
